-Causes of partisans polarization: a variety of factors 9i.e., electoral change, strategy of party leadership, party activitits, income inequality, morality issues such as abortion and same-sex marriage) causing increasing polarization.

Causal links between polarization at two levels: elite-levels (party in government)and mass-levels party polarization (party in the electorale).

Effects o consequences of partisan polarization: including culture wars, 49% naton, Blue vs. Red States, legislative gridlocks, publlic policies, and government spending.
