Topic: examine NYT coverage on the 2016 election

Attached file is mandatory to include.

To measure slant in the NYT compare the editorial endorsement to a narrow set of news coverage measures. Use Kahn and Kenney as your guide. You should also compare coverage in the NYT to at least one other newspaper. There are very few that endorsed Trump, but you might find one of them. Or you could use the not Trump papers (which have also not endorsed Clinton). Or you could use a second similar paper that endorsed Clinton. This will help you show whether the NYT slanted coverage more toward Clinton than other papers, or whether the NYT is not that unique at all.

Your focus must not be broad, including Clinton, Trump, and other candidates. Give attention to any particular measure of slant. Provide evidence of direct, systematic, and original observations of news content that made yourself, as a required for this assignment. Collect a systematic sample of NYT stories either on Clinton and Trump during the primary campaign or Clinton and Trump during the general election.
