You will review a successful marketing campaign and try to determine what research processes were used to get to the end result of the campaign. For this assignment, you will:

  • Locate a marketing campaign that you feel was successful.
  • Summarize the marketing campaign—explain the marketing message, the target market, and what media was included in the marketing campaign.
  • Indicate what kind of research—primary research or secondary research—the marketing team may have conducted to develop the marketing campaign.
  • Discuss what kind of data—qualitative, quantitative, or mixed method—may have been collected.
  • Discuss what the purpose of the campaign is and write a Problem Statement that may have been used when the marketing team was developing the Market Research Plan.
  • Combine your findings into a well-developed professional analysis of 250–500 words.

  • Discuss what the purpose of the campaign is and write a Problem Statement that may have been used when the marketing team was developing the Market Research Plan.  Remember that the market research team doesn't develop campaigns.  It provides the research, which are nuggets of inspiration, for the marketing and creative / advertising teams.  Speak specifically to what the problem statement was and then show how the messaging addressed the problem.
