Using the Ruiz and the Acuña texts, discuss the question: Was (the Chicano Movement) a ‘revolution,’ or was it more in line with the reformist activism pursued by the so-called Mexican American generation of the 1930-50s? Explore what the authors say on this question by using specific examples from the texts to support your discussion. - Organize your essays by providing an introduction that clearly outlines an argument for how you will discuss the question. Your essays should be between 750-1200 words each. -Use ONLY COURSE readings and materials to support your essays.

(I uploaded Acuña, Chapter 13 and Ruiz, Chapter 5.

You are an expert in Chicano Studies with a specialization in Chicano history. A principal at a local high school asks you to help to develop a curriculum that would engage students to explore the history of this group in the United States. In your essay, map out your proposal for how you would approach this task. Use the points of reference (books, theories, themes) from our course as your disciplinary paradigm to work within. PARTS OF THE PAPER: Issues to be explained in your proposal include: 1). theoretical framework of curriculum (explain what theory you would introduce and why), 2). texts/films to be read and why (select texts/films from class materials), 3). structure of class and class work (assignments and grading). As you organize your essay, discuss the relevance and implications for each of the aspects of the curriculum. - Organize your essays by providing an introduction that clearly outlines an argument for how you will discuss the question. Your essays should be between 750-1200 words each. -Use ONLY COURSE readings and materials to support your essays.

(I uploaded course outlines with key terms for each week and films..etc...
