Week 3 Discussion Starter Question #5 (attached other chapters to review )

Class,

I am a certified PMI PMP and per our textbook, "five decades, project management has matured from what was once considered to be just a fad that would soon disappear into a strategic competency and career path necessary for the growth and survival of the firm. Project management is now being used in virtually every industry and in all parts of the business" (2016)

I love that project management today is recognized as a series of processes that can be used in any industry, or on any project be it large or small. So does that mean projects now do not fail? The answer is a resounding NO!

So why do project fail if project management is so great? Our textbooks provide several examples. Please identify some examples provided by our text book?
