Part 1. Read Maximizing the Value of Consulting, Ch. 10: Methods of Data Collection (attached). Provide a SEPARATE 75 word minimum substantive response for each question below. Apply an example from current news or business case. (See attachment)
Q1: What are the pros and cons of using questionnaires and using interviews to gather data about a project? Under what circumstances would you choose to use one method over the other?
Q2: (Tuesday) - In your own words and not those of the author, what are the advantages and disadvantages of action plans?
Q3: (Tuesday-OH)-There are some good and some opportunities when it comes to making action plans. In my opinion actions plans can become too long winded especially if a lot of different ideas and people are involved. They can also become too vague and not as direct as they need to be. I think that an effective action plan is direct and straight to the root cause of what needs to be fixed or accomplish. What do some of my classmates think, am I way out in left field? Or would some of us agree that actions plans can have too many objectives?
Q4: Provide a 75 word substantive response related to another topic in chapter 10 different than Q1 -3. Add a heading for the response and apply an example from current news or business case. (See attachment)
Part 2. Read Maximizing the Value of Consulting, Ch. 13: Converting Data to Money (attached). Provide a SEPARATE 75 word minimum substantive response for each question below. Apply an example from current news or business case. (See attachment)
Q5: Consider the following as you read: What are your options if the client is less open about things like financials, yet wants your help with a project anyway?
Q6: In consulting, money is an important value, but so are intangibles, which are crucial in reflecting the success of a consulting project. Why???
